6 April 1979: Actionspace, Chenies Street (Off Tottenham Court Road), London CANCELLED With prag-VEC, Transmitters, Clock DVA, and The teardrop Explodes

In 2020 a gig listing for concerts at The Acklam Hall and Actionspace appeared on the internet. It's not clear if it's a flyer or a page from a fanzine, but it lists an impressive line up for 6th April at Actionspace including Joy Division. Click for complete image Further investigation shows Rob Gretton's notebooks from the time (see 1 Top Class Manager, page 65) refer to these gigs at the planning stage: However a later note states: “Genesis P Orridge Gig at ActionSpace pulled” It appears the Throbbing Gristle gig the following night didn't go ahead either. It's not listed on their official web site, but a flyer was produced implying the gig was viable at some point.
