After the show, the Actors spent time with lan Curtis, who had just turned 22.

"I liked lan," says Fred. "We chatted backstage for quite a while. A window was open in that room, I think, and he mentioned that he was cold. I was wearing a sweatshirt over a long-sleeved jumper, so I said, 'You can have this' and gave him my sweatshirt. He gave me his white short-sleeve shirt in return. That was a nice gesture. Two years later, he was dead."

"It was incredibly sad, and also quite shocking," says Rich, who was just three months younger than Curtis. "I was surprised to hear that lan had had problems with depression, because he showed no sign of that when I spoke to him. He was quite chatty and sociable, and we hit it off." - Fred Fairbrass of the Actors interviewed in Record Collector December 2022
